Founder and primary instructor at Quiet Form Pilates—teaching calm, intelligent movement in downtown Brevard.
Mara opened Quiet Form after years assisting in outpatient physical therapy clinics and teaching Pilates across Asheville and the Blue Ridge foothills. She wanted a room small enough to hear the breath of the person in front of her—and a schedule that never treated bodies like throughput.
Her education includes Balanced Body comprehensive Pilates training, ongoing study in spinal health and postpartum return-to-movement, and earlier coursework in kinesiology. She approaches each session as a conversation between anatomy, sensation, and practical strength for daily life.
Outside the studio, Mara walks the Pisgah trails, reads long-form essays, and keeps a quiet garden behind the East Main storefront.

Progress is measured in sustainable strength, easier movement, and nervous-system ease—not in how hard a single hour felt.
Quiet Form sits on East Main Street as a calm pause in downtown Brevard—easy to reach, intentionally unhurried once you arrive.
